What is that, a blog, a company web-site, a portfolio? A bit of all this actually! Soul Design was created in March 2003 as a way for us to work independently. After 5 years of a regular still & abstract website we decided to go for something more personal so you can discover our personalities, styles and follow our work through time.
Who are we? Both French designers, we now live in south of China for 8 years.
Isabelle Lopes:
After ten years being in-house designer for two Jewelries and Watches companies, I’ve now acquired a strong experience in both this fields as well as designers and collections management. I’m also passionate in other areas of creation such as hand-crafts or painting. Now working exclusively through Soul Design, I develop my skills with design contests, more hand drawings, trend books or product development with Chinese a factory (in Mandarin) for a French children’s crafts & Toys wood products.
Romain Vauchez:
After my Master in Industrial Design and a great experience as in-house designer for a watch company I worked under Soul Design for 5 years. I soon became a “master” in bag design, launching 2 brands that won award and enthusiastic reviews. Creativity never gets stuck in one field, mine also showed in tableware, health care, interior design, graphic design, etc… see for yourself. Willing to be involved in bigger projects, I co-founded in 2007 the Chocolate Agency in which I’m designer, Design Director and Design Manager, creating award-winning consumer electronics (mobile phones, mobile devices, white and gray products) for international companies. I believe in ”real”, well thought out, sustainable products. I wish I’ll have the opportunity to conceive and show you some more soon.
